Method for producing organic electroluminescent display panel

Abstract

The invention provides a method for producing an organic EL display panel, which is capable of preventing the occurrence of color mixing and improving the display quality, while also capable of improving the production efficiency. The method for producing the organic EL display panel according to the invention comprises: a step (1) wherein a first light emitting layer is produced by forming, on a first pixel, a film of a light emitting material that presents a first luminescent color; a step (2) wherein a region containing the first pixel and a second pixel adjacent thereto is subjected to etching, so that a thin film of the light emitting material that presents the first luminescent color, said thin film having adhered to the second pixel in the step (1) and being thinner than the first light emitting layer, is removed, while having the first light emitting layer remain; a step (3) wherein a second light emitting layer is produced by forming, on the second pixel, a film of a light emitting material that presents a second luminescent color, which is different from the first luminescent color; and a step (4) wherein the region containing the first pixel and the second pixel is subjected to etching, so that a thin film of the light emitting material that presents the second luminescent color, said thin film having adhered to the first pixel in the step (3) and being thinner than the second light emitting layer, is removed, while having the second light emitting layer remain.
本发明提供能够防止混色的发生、提高显示品质并且提高制造效率的有机EL显示面板的制造方法。本发明的有机EL显示面板的制造方法依次包括以下工序:在第一像素形成显示第一发光色的发光材料的膜而形成第一发光层的工序(1);对包含相邻的第一像素和第二像素的区域进行蚀刻处理,留下上述第一发光层,将在上述工序(1)中附着于上述第二像素的比上述第一发光层薄的显示上述第一发光色的发光材料的薄膜除去的工序(2);在上述第二像素形成显示与上述第一发光色不同的第二发光色的发光材料的膜而形成第二发光层的工序(3);和对包含上述第一像素和上述第二像素的区域进行蚀刻处理,留下上述第二发光层,将在上述工序(3)中附着于上述第一像素的比上述第二发光层薄的显示上述第二发光色的发光材料的薄膜除去的工序(4)。
